Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MerapiMedia collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when you use the MerapiMedia website and publisher application.

Effective date: September 3, 2026

1. Who we are

MerapiMedia is a publishing tool for creators and small media teams. The service is operated by MerapiMedia. Questions about this policy or a request about your data can be sent to ujangwiyatmoko@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we collect:

  • Account information: your MerapiMedia email address, password hash, role, sessions, and security records.
  • Google and YouTube information: when you choose to connect a channel, we receive the Google account email, YouTube channel ID, title, handle, thumbnail, channel statistics, and the limited YouTube Analytics values shown in the application.
  • OAuth credentials: access and refresh tokens and the granted scopes needed to act on your behalf. Tokens are encrypted before they are stored.
  • Your content: video, image, audio, and text files, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, privacy settings, and publishing schedules that you upload or create.
  • Technical information: basic request, device, and security-log information needed to operate and protect the service.

3. How we use Google and YouTube data

MerapiMedia requests Google and YouTube access only after you start the connection flow and grant permission. We use it to identify the selected channel, display channel and analytics information in your dashboard, upload videos and thumbnails that you schedule or ask us to publish, and report the result of those actions.

MerapiMedia's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google data, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or use it to train AI models.

We do not transfer Google user data to data brokers or advertising platforms. Access is limited to the MerapiMedia features described above, security and abuse prevention, legal compliance, and the infrastructure providers required to run the service. Channel data may be visible to you and workspace administrators or team members whom you authorize. MerapiMedia staff do not read Google user data except when you specifically ask for support, when needed to investigate security or abuse, or when required by law.

The current connection flow requests these permissions:

PermissionWhy it is needed
YouTube uploadUpload scheduled videos and set thumbnails.
YouTube read-onlyRead the connected channel and its basic statistics.
YouTube Analytics read-onlyShow the limited watch-time and monetization metrics supported by the dashboard.
Google account emailIdentify which Google account authorized each connected channel.

You can review Google's policies at Google API Services User Data Policy and the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube API Services Developer Policies.

4. How we use other information

We use MerapiMedia account information to authenticate you, enforce workspace and channel access, communicate about support and security, and protect the application. We use your uploaded content and metadata only to provide editing, scheduling, storage, and publishing features that you request. We do not claim ownership of your content.

5. Storage and security

MerapiMedia uses encrypted connections in transit, hashed passwords, and encrypted storage for OAuth tokens. Uploaded files and database records are kept in the service's configured hosting environment. No security measure is perfect, so please use a unique password and do not share your credentials.

6. Sharing and service providers

We share information only as needed to provide the service: with Google and YouTube when you authorize and request an action, with hosting and database providers operating MerapiMedia, for security investigations, or when required by law. We do not sell personal information or Google user data.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain workspace records and uploaded content while they are needed to provide the service. When you disconnect a YouTube channel, MerapiMedia revokes the authorization when possible and immediately removes the stored access and refresh tokens; channel metadata and publishing history may remain until you request their deletion.

To request deletion of your MerapiMedia account, Google-connected data, uploaded content, or other personal information, email ujangwiyatmoko@gmail.comfrom the address associated with the account. We will verify the request and complete deletion as soon as possible and within 7 days, except for information we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes. You can also remove MerapiMedia's access from your Google security settings.

8. Your choices

You may choose not to connect a YouTube channel, disconnect a channel in the Channels screen, sign out, or contact us to access, correct, or delete your information. Some publishing features cannot work without the relevant authorization and content.

9. Children's privacy

MerapiMedia is a general-audience business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the service or its data practices change. We will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the application. Contact ujangwiyatmoko@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests.
